In the year 2020-2023, Alex Deiser, part-owner of Palmar Grip, played a leading role in developing and engineering a groundbreaking product known as Palmar Grip. This innovative endeavor encompassed various services, including Product Development, Engineering, Patent Awarded, Branding, Marketing, and Business Strategies, all aimed at reshaping the cycling landscape.

Palmar Grip, an industry-first, is set to establish a new standard for road and gravel bike grip systems. It addresses one of the road cycling market’s most significant challenges, impacting over 70% of cyclists globally—hand fatigue, finger numbness, and wrist pain resulting from gripping traditional brake/shifter levers.

Conventional designs of brake/shifter levers by industry giants like SRAM and Shimano lacked ergonomic support, exacerbating hand pain and finger numbness for cyclists. The discomfort and pain stem from the hand position on the brake shift levers, which press on the two primary nerve channels in the palm known as the “Ulnar and Median” nerves. This leads to hand and finger numbness and carpal tunnel irritation during rides on road or gravel bikes.

With Palmar Grip’s innovative solution, these challenges are being addressed head-on. The product not only earned a patent but also underwent a comprehensive branding, marketing, and business strategy process.
